Collection & Research

Unlike most museums, the MEIS was first born of its mission and only thereafter followed a policy of acquisitions.

Today the collection comprises objects coming from numerous private donations, in particular the Gianfranco Moscati Fund stands out for its variety and interest. It is a potpourri of over 3,000 pieces, for the most part documents that shed light on the history of the Jews of Italy.
